Your library stays on your device
Postloom stores the photos you choose or capture, stamp edits, titles, notes, dates, places, collections, walls, and drawings in the app's local storage. We do not operate a server that receives your library. There is no account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, tracking, or remote AI processing in this version.
Photos and camera
Import uses Apple's system photo picker: you choose which images to provide. Camera access is requested when you open the camera. Permission to add images to Photos is requested when you save an export. You can change these permissions in system Settings.
Optional places and Apple Maps
With your permission, Postloom uses foreground location to place new camera stamps on your map. Location updates stop when the app moves to the background. Existing photo location metadata can also be used. You can add, change, or remove a stamp's place. Map tiles, place searches, and address lookups communicate with Apple services; Apple handles those requests under its privacy policies. Using the editor does not require location access.
Sharing
Export happens on your device. Exported images omit original photo metadata, including GPS, and private notes. Any caption or text visible in the artwork is part of the exported image. When you choose Photos, Files, or another share destination, that destination handles the exported file under its own settings and policies.
Retention, deletion, and device backups
Stamps you delete remain in Recently deleted until you restore or permanently delete them. Removing a collection does not delete its stamps. Wall stamp pieces are independent copies; deleting their source stamp does not remove those wall copies. This version does not synchronize libraries between devices or provide an in-app full-library backup. Operating-system device backups may include app data according to your Apple backup settings. Uninstalling the app removes its local data; exported copies and system backups are managed separately.
